Meet Our Dental Hygienists
Hannah - Registered Dental Hygienist
Hannah has been a hygienist for 19 years with 18 years spent with Dr. O’Leary. “The best things about my job are my awesome coworkers, seeing my patients that have been with me for a long time and meeting new faces along the way.” She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BS in Dental Hygiene.
She is from Concord, NC. Hannah has been married to husband, Wayne for 17 years and they have 1 son, Wyatt. She loves spending time with family, travelling and watching her son play basketball.
Jessica - Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been in Dentistry for over 15 years and has been with us for the last year. She enjoys building relationships with her patients so they can feel comfortable coming into our practice and she loves her co-workers. She graduated from Catawba Valley Community College Dental Hygiene School. She has certifications in CPR, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, SPICE, plus yearly OSHA, and HIPAA training.
Originally from Troutman, North Carolina, Jessica has been married to her husband, Daniel, for almost 11 years. They have two Labrador retrievers, Ruger and Bear. She loves spending time with her family, traveling and going on mission trips.
Kristene – Registered Dental Hygienist
Kristene has been in dentistry for 20 years and the last 2 have been with Dr. O’Leary. “I really love the awesome people I get to work with and getting to know my patients.” She graduated from the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT.
Born and raised in CT, she has 2 older brothers and 5 nieces and nephews. She has been married to her husband, Eric, for 10 years, who she met on a double date while visiting North Carolina. “Some of my favorite things are spending time with family, church, concerts, my animals, cooking, and movies. Traveling is a plus whenever we can. The mountains are our happy place!"
Lynsey – Registered Dental Hygienist
Lynsey has been in dentistry for over 16 years and with us for the last 4 years. She really enjoys getting to know her patients and their families while helping them achieve their dental health goals. “I love what I do and my amazing co-workers!” She graduated from the Central Piedmont Dental Hygiene Program.
Originally from Mooresville, NC, Lynsey has been married to her high school sweetheart, Will, for 15 years. They have two boys, Maddox and Mason. She enjoys time with family, traveling, camping and watching her boys play sports.
Meet Our Dental Assistants
Johanna – Dental Assistant to Dr. O’Leary
Johanna has 21 years in the dental field and 16 years spent here. She attended CPPCC Dental Assisting and has DAII and CDA training and certification with an Associates Degree in Health Science.
She is originally from Syracuse, NY and she has a son, Jordan who was born in 2016 plus 2 dogs, Cali and Thor. She loves running, working out, being the best possible mom and going anywhere with water, a lake, or a beach. She especially enjoys spending time with friends, family, traveling and hiking.
Desirae – Dental Assistant
Desirae has been in dentistry for 6 years and is a recent addition to our Team. She finds helping patients and working with amazing coworkers while preserving or helping restore great smiles to her patients is rewarding. She attended Palmetto School of Career Development for professional training and is currently attending college to become a medical sonographer.
Originally from Durham, North Carolina where she met her future husband Jose’ in high school. They have 2 amazing children, Sophie, and Jensen. They lived in Charleston, SC for 4 years on the Naval Weapons Station while her husband was stationed while in the Marines. Besides spending time with family, one of her favorite things to do is participate in 5K mud races and Desirae “can’t wait for the next one
Lynnette – Dental Assistant
Lynnette has been in dentistry for 37 years as a Certified Dental Assistant. She recently moved to NC and started working with Dr. O'Leary and Dr. Metty in May, 2020.Originally from Canada, she attended dental assisting school in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Canada. When she moved to the US in 2003, she worked in a periodontal implant office for 15 years.
Lynnette and her husband Allan have two grown children. Away from work she enjoys travelling, biking, and skiing.
Meet Our Front Office Associates
Susan – Financial/Billing/Insurance Manager
Susan has been in the dental field for 10 years. She helped Dr. O’Leary start this practice 8 years ago. She enjoys helping patients understand their insurance. “I work with the most amazing team and they make it fun to come to work.” She graduated from Dunedin Technical School in Florida and was a medical assistant before joining us.
Her hometown is Clearwater, Florida and she’s been married to her high school sweetheart for 43 years. They have two kids; 1 living in NYC and the other in Atlanta. She has 2 awesome grandchildren and hopes for more. She enjoys sewing and cooking. She values family time, reading books, going to the beach and wineries.
Karen – Patient Coordinator
Karen has spent 6 years in dentistry and considers her co-workers and helping the patients the best things about this job. She loves music, traveling and spending time with friends. The beach is one of her favorite places to unwind.
Born and raised in Ohio, she has two daughters and two granddaughters that she loves hanging out with on the weekends. She is looking forward to finding out in December if her third grandbaby is a boy or girl! One day, she hopes to write a children’s book.
